The Lawyers Blog
Updated March 1, 2022 -
The Honorable Amy Clark Meachum
denied GTECH’s motion for summary
judgment. Judge Meachum also notified
the parties that the first bellwether trial in her
court would be postponed until sometime after
July 1 due to court backlogs caused by
the pandemic. Read story. Click here

A Lottery Association
In either late 2017 or early 2018, a
Lottery Association was formed by several
players. They are posting lottery stories and
have a petition for everyone to sign. They
are calling for a "fair and honest" lottery.
Maybe this is what has been needed
all these years. I wish them much
success and I highly recommend that
you join. There is POWER in
numbers. And several of you have
asked if they can be trusted - YES, I
believe so. I do NOT believe this is
a trick by G-Tech.

Update 6/16/20: I do not know if the
Assocation is still there now. The link
I had posted no longer works and
I haven't been able to find them.
If anyone knows anything, please
advise me. Click here

So many calls and questions. So I posted a Q & A page.
The press had picked up on the scratch ticket (Fun 5's)
story creating more havoc than I could handle!
I heard many stories - people driving hundreds of
miles to collect prizes. I really believed the Texas
Legislature and Texas Lottery would have G-Tech
honor the face value of these tickets.

One of our lead attorneys, Richard LaGarde, faced
a huge medical journey. He has done so much

many medical challenges. I encourage you
all to read his story and see what many people
face on a daily basis. Those of us who are
not ill have much to be grateful for.
