Dear Mr. Cowan:

Recently you contacted my office regarding the changes to the Texas lottery.
Due to your interest on this issue, I contacted the Texas Lottery Commission.
In response to the information I received from them, I have spoken with
Representative Kevin Bailey, Chairman of the General Investigating Committee.
I have requested that he investigate this matter further. Specifically, I have asked
him to find out why the equipment for the new games was ordered prior to the
public hearings, and also if there is a way to reverse the Texas Lottery
Commission's changes to the rules.

Thank you for your continued updates. I will also let you know any
information that I find out as well.
